Lalbagh Flower Show is famous for the large variety of Flowers one can see during the show. But humans are not the only ones attracted by the flowers, we have Honey Bees as well which arrive for their half yearly feast during the flower show.

It is the first Monday of the year and it is time we picked up something from the ant. Can’t see it? Look closely in the center of the flower. You will see an ant already midway towards the highest point on the flower and it is still looking forward to the endpoint. Climbing this flower for an ant is like us climbing an hill. It is time consuming and takes a lot of effort. But the ant marches on.
What do we learn from this? Never give up, the destination may seem far off, but we should continue our pursuit with the same energy we started it with.
Just look at the insect, if you touch it you will be itching and scratching for sometime. It was eating a Hibiscus plant leaf when I picked it up for the photo shoot. Took a couple of closeups and a video and then left it to continue eating the leaf, but outside my garden.

I have a small garden in my house in Mangalore and I always keep a lookout for any good opportunity to take photos. In one such instance I saw this ant moving around searching for food. That’s it, I kept tracking it till I got this shot. Note that the actual photo has been cropped to show only the ant.

I had gone on a short trip to the ‘Art of Living’ aashram which lies about 20 Kilometers from Bangalore towards Kanakapura. Behind the aashram there is a small lake and a park. Found this florescent bug while on the way out from the park. The dash of green on a red plant is what makes this photo so beautiful.
