@Deep: Thanks. There is only one way to increase your backup time, either change the battery if it is already a few years since you bought it, else reduce the load, like use a non-CRT monitor.

I did same thing, but my ups automatically turns off after 5 min (but its not discharrged) and again I have to switch on manually. But if i use PC then I can run for more than 10 min. Any idea how can I fix this?

Hey Buddy !! thats a good idea to make a CFL run on a computer UPS

But its backup is Really very considerably low..

could u suggest me though what i can increase my backup time

Thanks for the info… it would be great if you would have put the photo of Computer AC socket adaptor.
Can we do without it?
