Ever since I took a TV tuner card there has always been a need of a good software which would convert the recorded programs to DVD. I was using Nero for this task for a long long time. But finally a few days back I came across DeVeDe, it offers a simple and quick way to create DVDs.

I capture TV in DivX/Xvid format, hence I was searching for software which could convert for this format to DVD in minimal effort and DeVeDe fits my requirement easily.

The interface of DeVeDe is simple, you get to add/see the title on the left hand side and the contents for that in the side hand side. It is a matter of drag and drop.

It offers the options to choose the bitrate for both audio-video and to change the video resolution. These are two important options I was looking for. Preview functionality is provided to check if the output matches our requirement.

One more basic feature is that of menu creation, here the choice of background, font, etc are provided.

After finding this software I am very happy since the DVD creator was the only requirement which made me log into Windows. But now that I found DeVeDe, I can just relax and enjoy the freedom.

The setting I choose for DVD creation is:
Video Bitrate : 1691Kbps
Audio Bitrate : 128 Kbps
Video resolution : 352×576
