@Shuvan: It all depends on the profitability of the radio station, it seems like running hindi music station does not work out. I remember when Fever 104 was launched it was a hindi songs only radio station, now it has done a complete flip and now it is a kannada only. So it depends on the business side of things.

Bangalore badly need a good hindi FM station. I dont know why being a cosmopolitan city, all the radio stations mostly plays Kannada. Pls understand, I am not against Kannada, but there are millions in the city who grew up listenning to hindi music and this city has given us everything. Cant this city afford to offer just 1 FM station dedicated for hindi music?

LISTEN TO LIVE VIVIDH BHARATHI RADIO ON THE WEB FROM BANGALORE, INDIA:
Hi
Listen Online to Vividh Bharathi Radio, Live on the Web.
I run a radio station from Bangalore, India on the Web.
All India Radio,Vividh Bharathi is broadcast in Stereo, on FM on 102.90 Mhz. in Bangalore, I generally relay on the web the Hindi Music played on Vividh Bharathi from 13.30 UTC ( 19.00 Hrs Local time ). It is a live broadcast of Vividh Bharathi, it is not a recording. A 24 hour live Digital feed of Vividh Bharathi is also available to suit listeners across the various Time Zones, right across the globe.
To listen to my radio station you have to register on the Global Tuners web site, IT’S FREE ! Their web site is http://www.globaltuners.com/ or else google it, IT’S FREE !
Register on their web site, it’s one of the best in the world, most of their receivers are PC controlled , so that a user can tune and listen to these receivers from his/her own computer, irrespective of where he/she is in the world, a few receivers are audio only nodes, like my Radio Bangalore.
After logging in to Global Tuners web site you have to select Radio Bangalore from their list of receivers to listen to my receiver.
Apart from FM stations of Bangalore, I also relay medium wave broadcast of regional stations of All India Radio.
I have a 4 Foot loop antenna some 30 feet off the ground which works pretty good on Medium wave. For FM I have a FM Dipole antenna, which gives excellent reception for the local FM stations
Any doubts you can please get in touch with me at daverohitb@hotmail.com
Happy Listening
