I publish my post at random intervals, sometimes when I am in a good mood I write 2-3 post in a single day, and sometimes none. But this pattern is not a good one since the people who subscribe through feeds and via emails sometimes they get no mails and sometimes far too many. So wouldn’t it be great if there was a feature that would allow you to keep the post pending till a certain date and then publish it.
Well I just found that Wordpress has this feature where one can set the date and time of the post to be published. If the date and time is in future, then Wordpress will publish that post on that date automatically without you having to do anything much.
The only thing that is required to be done is before publishing a post, scroll down till you find ‘Post Timestamp’ (see image) in the sidebar on the right, Once the selection of the date and time is done, click on ‘Publish’. Voila…Its that easy.
Other situations I can imagine is when I want to do post’s regularly but I am free only on weekends, hence using this option I can write 3-4 posts, assign the timestamps and publish them the coming week. Also useful if one is going on a long holiday and blogging is difficult during that period.
So you may ask why is it important that one keep posting regularly? Well the answer is simple, if one needs loyal readers then regular posting is the way to go, else they will not remember to visit. Anyways, I will try this setting for the first time for this post by setting it to publish at 4:00 pm today (25 Nov), lets see if it actually does that.

Update: The automatic posting worked like a gem, this posting was done this way, so expect more good posts in coming weeks.

It is actually more impressing that you wrote a whole post about this than the feature you are posting about.
@Aleksandersen: yeah! sometimes the mind deviates from the context…actually the title should have been different. Thanks for pointing it out.
